RECAP - 2016 AAU VOLLEYBALL CLASSIC

That’s a wrap for the 2016 AAU Volleyball Classic! 167 teams and over 2,500 participants from all over Florida came to battle it out in the sold out competition over the weekend.

The champions of the tournament hold an impressive combined record of 50-1. FL Scorpions 14U Neon had the biggest challenge, taking home the 14U Gold after fighting through three five-set matches on Sunday, with their championship final set finishing 16-14. Jellys 15s and Nona 16 National also went to three sets in their championship game, finishing 15-10 and 15-13 respectively. For a full list of winners, see below.

There was a TON of competitive volleyball at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex this weekend, which is why most of these teams made the drive to Orlando. This is a popular preparation tournament for the AAU Girls Junior Volleyball National Championships in June and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces at Nationals in a few months!
