INTERNATIONAL TEAMS COME TO ORLANDO!

AAU Volleyball is happy to announce the return of the International Division to the 2015 AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships!  For the 2ndconsecutive year, seven teams from across the world including Asia, Europe, and South America will compete. 
 

The AAU Girls’ Junior National Championships which has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest volleyball tournament in the world, will feature over 2,200 teams competing in 29 divisions from ages 10 to 18 from June 16th – 26th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports and Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
 

The International Division will take place from June 16th – 19th.  The winner of this division will play the best US 18 Open team at the ESPN Wide World of Sports on June 19th.
 

Last year the International division included teams from Brazil, Dominican Republic, Croatia, Germany, Israel, Mexico, Peru and Slovenia.  Each team battled it out for 4 days of tough competition, but Brazil came out on top taking the International title over the Dominican Republic.  
 

It was then time to find out who they would play in the first ever AAU Volleyball World Championship game.  After an intense battle between Mizuno Sports Performance and Asics Munciana Samurai, it would be Mizuno Sports Performance vs. Brazil in the final.  Although Mizuno Sports Performance came out strong with momentum from their National Championship game, Brazil came out with the win and became the AAU Volleyball World Champion!
