International Division Starts Competition

ORLANDO, Fla (June 25, 2018) - With teams facing off in a nine team pool to kick off competition, only two teams were left undefeated: Club Brazil and Club Dominican Republic after the first day of international competition. These two teams will battle it out on Wednesday, June 27 at 10:00 AM EST.
 
Club Puerto Rico went 2-1, defeating Club China and Club Israel in straight sets. In similar fashion, Club Colombia (Pony’s Club) defeated Club Slovenia and Club Australia to go 2-1.
 
Club China finished the day 1-1, defeating Club Colombia (Sport Voyager) but falling to Club Puerto Rico. Easily the most exciting match of the day, Club Brazil and Club Israel took their match to 3 sets (the only 3-setter of the day), with Israel falling behind late in the match to give Brazil the 15-10 victory.
 
Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 26, pool play will continue as new teams could potentially emerge as front runners, although it seems unlikely that any team will be able to top Club Dominican Republic.
