Over 1,000 athletes and 89 teams made their way to Winter Haven , Florida for the 2022 AAU Volleyball Citrus Grove Grand Prix, hosted by Mach 3 Events, LLC.

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (April 2022) -- The 2022 AAU Citrus Grove Grand Prix was held on April 2-3, 2022 on 12 courts at the state-of-the-art AdventHealth Fieldhouse in Winter Haven, Florida. This year marks the second year that Mach 3 Events, LLC has hosted this event.
The field of over 1,000 athletes made up 89 teams in seven different age divisions: 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U.
Winning teams earned a free or discounted entry into either the 49th AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships in Orlando, Florida, the Volleyball Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, or the West Coast Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Gold Champions:
“2-time Winter Haven CHAMPS! Congrats to SoFLO 15U for their stellar performance winning the Gold in 15U division at Winter Haven.” A coach from SoFLO Volleyball said. “Amazing event put on by Mach 3 Events. You guys are the best! So organized and professional! Such a well-run event!”
Mach 3 Events was excited to also offer a special award to players at the 2022 AAU Citrus Gold Grand Prix. They enlisted the help of Polk County Public School CTE (Career and Technical Education) to be able to offer something unique as well as support schools and students. A local engineering and technology class was able to create an award, mock up the templates, and use advanced skills with a laser engraver to provide us with a beautifully exclusive design.
“You guys are different than the rest, there’s a lot more thought to it, and the organization is excellent,” said the Tropics Volleyball Club. “With all the media posts, stories, awards and organization of the tournament in general. Beautiful tournament!”
Mach 3 Events is so thankful for the support and help from Polk County Schools. The students were given an opportunity to learn advanced job skills while supporting local business and enriching the lives of event participants and the community as a whole. Each coach received one of these unique awards to give out at the end of the tournament to a deserving player.
“Thank you for the great weekend of volleyball. We appreciated the opportunity to play against some good competition in a well-run tournaments,” said the coach of Forward Volleyball. “Everything was solid from the event staff to the organization to the officiating. We hope to return next year with even more teams.”
Mach 3 Events wants to thank all participating teams for choosing the 2022 AAU Citrus Grove Grand Prix. It was an amazing event that featured exciting competition and amazing finishes. Congratulations to all Champions and to all players that were named to the 2022 AAU Citrus Grove Grand Prix All-Tournament Team!
