CHICAGO, Ill. (November 16, 2022) – Chi-Town stand up! AAU Volleyball is on the way to downtown Chicago for the Chi-Town Boys Challenge. Approximately 500 teams from around the country will travel to McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois to compete for gold.
The Chi-Town Boys Challenge is a three day boys event co-hosted by Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Teams will be split up into age based groups: Boys 12u-13u, 14u Open and Premier, and 15u-18u Open, Premier and Classic. The 1st and 2nd place teams in each division will be awarded with a paid entry to the 50th AAU Boys' Junior National Volleyball Championships, taking place in Orlando, Florida from June 30 until July 4, 2023.
This first-year event will feature 66 courts in total with two (2) championship courts. Photos of the athletes and teams will be available during and after the event. Participants and fans alike will also get the chance to meet two former olympians for an autograph signing during the event.
With teams coming from California, Florida, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and more, this will be one of the premier events of the season. College scouts from NCAA DI – DIII will be in attendance catching all of the action.

The Chi-Town Boys Challenge is the first of three (3) AAU/JVA hosted events during the year. The Brew City Battle will be hosted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Windy City Round-Up will take place in Chicago, Illinois. For more information about AAU Boys' Volleyball events, click here.
