AAU ATHLETES ANNOUNCED IN AVCA THIRTY UNDER 30

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) recently announced its 2017 Thirty Under 30 list to honor up-and-coming coaching talent at all levels of volleyball. Fifteen of the 30 coaches recognized are either current or former AAU members from across the nation, including:

·         Stephanie Albano, Daeman College

·         Allison Boes, Duluth High School

·         Kevin Burch, Ohio State University

·         Sean Carter, Wichita State University

·         Kelly Cecil, North Forsyth High School

·         Tim Doyle, Virginia Commonwealth University

·         Maggie Griffin, Volleyball Club Nebraska

·         Christa Jung Cooper, Ferris State University

·         Nikki Klingsporn, Ohio State University

·         Nick Macrae, Long Beach State University

·         Kim Maroon, Florida Gulf Coast University

·         Evan Muys, University of Dayton

·         Cory Sackett, Purdue Northwest University

·         Andrea Salazar, Delaware Valley University

·         Greg Walker, Sacred Heart University

“The young talent in volleyball coaching is just outstanding,” said AVCA Executive Director Kathy DeBoer. “As exciting as these 30 award winners is the fact that almost 200 young coaches were nominated for consideration. It’s a good time to be a volleyball coach!”
