Facility Info. / Directions / Parking

All matches of the 2020 AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships will be held at the Orange County Convention Center. There will be no competition at ESPN Wide World of Sports.


Orange County Convention Center

All courts (1-66) will be located at the Convention Center in the North and South Halls. All attendees must enter through the health and temperature screenings located in the North Drop-Off entrances (no entrance on the South).  All attendees must exit through the South Concourse (no exit on the North). 

  • Parking & Directions:
    • A special daily parking rate of $10 per day will be available during the event. This does include re-entry on the same day. You must save your receipt for re-entry.
    • Parking is available in the North Lot and South Lot.
  • Facility Information:
    • There will not be any cooler storage rooms this year. Coolers will be permitted inside the competition hall and should be kept with the team. Any coolers left unattended are not the responsibility of AAU or the Orange County Convention Center.
    • No ball handling is permitted inside the Convention Center.
    • No outside chairs are permitted inside the Convention Center.
    • Teams need to bring their own water.  Water stations will not be provided this year.

No Spectators - No International Teams - Face Covering

To limit the number of people in the facility, spectators will not be allowed. Each team can consist of 15 players, 5 bench personnel, and 10 chaperones. In addition, each match will have one referee. Teams will need to provide the down referee. Due to travel concerns, there will be no international teams. All participants (athletes, coaches, chaperones, officials, etc.) must wear a face covering, except when athletes are on the floor during warm-ups and competition.

Extensive Screening Measures - Health Assessment and Temperature Check

Athletes, coaches, chaperones, officials and event staff will go through a health assessment and temperature check each day prior to entrance into the facility.   Teams will need to enter the temperature checks together as a group at the same time.  More information can be found here.

Social Distancing Measures - All Matches at OCCC

There will be many changed at the venue.  All matches will be played at the Orange County Convention Center.  The courts will be spaced farther apart to increase the walkways and allow for social distancing.  Doors will be marked for entrances and exits to assit in limiting interaction.  All participants must enter through the North side of the building in the bus drop-off zone.  All participants must exit through the South Concourse. There will be a lmited amount of vendors to allow for more space for the courts.  There will be 66 courts in nearly a million square feet.

Limited Interaction - No Water Stations - No Handshakes

Teams are encouraged to bring their own water.  Water stations will not be provided this year.  There will be no handshakes before or after matched and teams are discouraged from having gift exchanges this year. 

OCCC Disinfecting Procedures - Handwashing & Sanitizing

With a strategic on-site preparedness plan, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) is implementing rigorous cleaning and sanitation measures to enhance daily routines already in place to promote a clean and healthy environment.  OCCC is receiving its Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation on outbreak prevention, response adn recovery.  Recognized as the gold standard of save venues, GBAC STAR provided third-party validation to ensure the implementation of rigorous protocols in response to ensuring a clean, safe and healthy environment.   Additionally, the courts will be disinfected daily. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the facility. The balls will be sanitized between each match.

No Opening Ceremonies

There will not be an Opening Ceremony this year.
